Kitchen Laundry Technician

We are currently seeking passionate and dynamic Maintenance professionals who pride themselves on their ability to deliver extraordinary levels of customer service and provide creative solutions to our guests. As a Kitchen/Laundry Technician, you are responsible for all the Kitchen and Laundry equipment maintenance as instructed while adhering to Hotel policies and procedures. Reporting to the Chief Engineer, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

1. Ensure that all kitchen and laundry equipment is properly maintained and serviced to avoid breakdowns.
2. Perform preventive maintenance and complete the turnover quickly and efficiently to meet guest needs.
3. Respond to breakdowns of equipment and be available in case of emergency, applying appropriate action as per Hotel policy and standards.
4. Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests and colleagues' health and safety as well as conserve the environment.
5. Comply with the hotel environmental health and safety policies and procedures.
6. Perform general repair and maintenance duties regarding laundry plumbing and electrical systems.
7. Do elementary painting and finishing of furniture and structures.
8. Check electrical systems such as refrigeration controls, television sets, and lighting systems, making minor repairs as needed.
9. Check and make minor repairs on general plumbing systems and fixtures such as pipelines, toilets, and sinks.
10. Perform basic maintenance and repair of laundry equipment using manuals and past history.
11. Reissue and exchange worn-out clothing.
12. Maintain security measures by counting and making rounds through the laundry on a periodic basis.
13. Ensure that no ironing or starching is done on unauthorized clothing.
14. Ensure that the proper amount of cleaned clothing is returned to the delivering officer.
15. Ensure that the building, as well as the outside area designated for laundry, is kept clean and secure.
