Kitchen Equipment Technician || Abu Dhabi

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of commercial kitchen equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and perform timely repairs on a wide range of kitchen appliances, including ovens, fryers, and refrigerators.
• Install new kitchen equipment, ensuring proper setup and compliance with safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of service history, repairs, and inventory management for all kitchen equipment.
• Provide training and support to kitchen staff on the proper operation and maintenance of equipment to minimize downtime.
• Respond promptly to emergency service requests to minimize disruption in kitchen operations.
• Collaborate with suppliers to source replacement parts and negotiate service contracts for equipment maintenance.
• Stay updated on the latest kitchen technology and innovations to recommend improvements and upgrades.
• Implement preventive maintenance schedules to extend the lifespan of kitchen equipment and reduce repair costs.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations during all maintenance and repair activities in the kitchen environment.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• A high school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in appliance repair or HVAC systems are highly preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in commercial kitchen equipment repair and maintenance.
• Proven track record of diagnosing and solving complex equipment problems under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with local health and safety standards in the hospitality industry, particularly in Abu Dhabi.
• Knowledgeable in electrical and mechanical systems, with proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage for interacting with diverse teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently, handling multiple service requests simultaneously.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with a keen attention to detail, ensuring no issue goes unnoticed.
• Strong physical stamina and dexterity, as the role requires lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
• A proactive and adaptable mindset, ready to tackle new challenges and learn emerging technologies in kitchen equipment.
