We are urgently seeking a Kitchen Equipment Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and repair of kitchen equipment, ensure the upkeep of the facility, and manage emergency maintenance issues. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and experience in a similar role within a restaurant or food service environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance, repair, and servicing of kitchen equipment (ovens, fryers, dishwashers, refrigerators, etc.). Ensure all equipment is in good working order to avoid disruptions in kitchen operations.
Facility Upkeep: Maintain the restaurant's premises, including the kitchen, dining areas, and storage rooms. Address plumbing, electrical, and HVAC issues as needed.
Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs): Manage AMCs for major equipment. Ensure service providers meet contract terms, conduct regular inspections, and resolve any issues promptly.
Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule to reduce equipment breakdowns and extend the lifespan of machinery.
Troubleshooting and Repairs: Quickly diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions and facility issues, coordinating with external vendors as needed.
Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, sanitation, and local building codes.
Team Management: Supervise and train maintenance staff, ensuring safe and efficient work practices.
Inventory Management: Keep an inventory of maintenance supplies, ordering parts and materials as needed.
Emergency Response: Address urgent maintenance issues to minimize disruption to restaurant operations.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and compliance checks. Provide regular reports on maintenance performance.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training in mechanical maintenance or facilities management preferred.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance supervision, preferably within a restaurant or food service environment.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of kitchen equipment, plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC.
Leadership: Proven ability to manage a team and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Health & Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with health, safety, and sanitation regulations in the restaurant industry.
UAE Driving License: Required.
Software Skills: Proficiency in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office (optional).
