Kitchen Assistant
Job description
- Assist with food preparation, including washing, chopping, and storing ingredients.
- Ensure the kitchen is clean and organized at all times.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
- Assist chefs and cooks as needed, following instructions precisely.
- Monitor food stock levels and inform the supervisor of any shortages.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in culinary arts is a plus.
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Strong time management and teamwork skills.
