About your role

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Key Account Manager for Retail to join our team. The Key Account Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth, establishing relationships, and ensuring the penetration of our entire selection in key retail stores across the UAE.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, demonstrated strong/successful track record in the retail sector, and the ability to execute effective sales strategies.

Your primary responsibilities

  1. Manage and grow retail sales accounts, ensuring a strong presence in supermarkets and hypermarkets such as Carrefour, Lulu Hypermarkets, Spinneys, Choithrams, and other key retail stores.
  2. Identify new business opportunities and secure listings for our Italian food products and broader selection in target retail outlets.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers, store managers, and decision-makers within the retail sector.
  4. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and product placements to maximize visibility and sales.
  5. Achieve sales targets, ensuring consistent growth in market share and revenue.
  6. Monitor and analyze sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
  7. Collaborate with the marketing team to execute in-store promotions, activations, and merchandising strategies.
  8. Ensure optimal stock levels and product availability by working closely with the logistics and inventory teams.
  9. Provide regular feedback and reporting to management on sales performance, market trends, and customer needs.
  10. Attend sales meetings, trade shows, and product training sessions to stay informed about new products and industry trends.

What you need to excel

  1. Proven experience in retail sales within the FMCG or food industry.
  2. Strong knowledge of the UAE retail market, with experience working with major retailers specifically Carrefour and Lulu Hypermarkets.
  3. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  4. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet sales targets.
  5. Experience working with CRM (Salesforce) and BI.
  6. Knowledge of Italian food products or a passion for food and culinary trends is a plus.
  7. Valid UAE driver's license and willingness to travel frequently within the UAE.
