We are working with a prominent trading firm seeking to hire a Junior Trader with experience in shipping, bunkering, or oil trading to join their team in Dubai.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

• Assist in executing trades within the oil, shipping, or bunkering markets, working alongside senior traders to support strategy and decision-making.
• Conduct in-depth market analysis, monitoring trends to identify trading opportunities and optimize performance.
• Develop and maintain relationships with counterparties and clients in the MENA or APAC regions, expanding the firm’s commercial network.
• Provide daily and weekly P&L reports, supporting accurate risk management.
• Collaborate with the trading team to evaluate new business and trading strategies for enhanced profitability.
• Role reports to the Head of Trading.

Key Qualifications / Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a trading role related to shipping, bunkering, or oil trading.
• Strong analytical skills and market awareness, with an aptitude for working in fast-paced environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Finance, Economics, or Business); additional qualifications are advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster professional relationships.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic or other regional languages is a plus.
• To be based in Dubai.
