Job Summary: The Electrical Junior Technician is responsible for performing basic electrical maintenance repair and installation tasks under the supervision of more experienced technicians. They assist with troubleshooting, testing, and maintaining various electrical systems and equipment.
Electrical Job Requirement:
Perform routine electrical inspections, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs on equipment such as motors, transformers, earthing systems, DB panels, and controls.
Assist senior technicians with the diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of more complex electrical issues.
Interpret basic electrical schematics, diagrams, and manuals to guide work activities.
Properly use electrical testing equipment like multimeters, clamps, and meters to collect data and perform measurements.
Install, terminate, and label electrical wiring, conduits, and other components following established procedures.
Conversant with spare parts/materials required.
Adhere to all applicable electrical safety rules, regulations, and company policies.
Assist with general housekeeping and organization of the electrical workshop/work areas.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or technical/vocational certification in Electrical Technology or a related field.
Minimum Experience:
Basic understanding of electrical theory, circuits, and equipment.
Ability to read and interpret basic electrical schematics and technical manuals.
Familiarity with electrical test equipment and measurement techniques.
Good problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
