Junior Sous Chef

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Junior Sous Chef with experience in aviation or inflight catering to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high-volume food production, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to maintain the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Sous Chef in managing daily kitchen operations for inflight catering.
• Supervise food preparation, ensuring consistency, presentation, and adherence to airline specifications.
• Monitor and enforce hygiene, health, and safety regulations as per HACCP and airline standards.
• Ensure timely production and dispatch of meals in line with flight schedules.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, maintaining a high-performance work environment.
• Collaborate with the menu development team to enhance meal offerings.
• Maintain stock levels and assist in inventory management.
• Uphold food cost control measures while maintaining quality.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 1-2 years in aviation/inflight catering.
• Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and airline catering regulations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Flexibility to work in shifts.
