About the Job:
An opportunity has arisen for a Junior Sommelier to join the F&B Team in Burj Al Arab Jumeirah. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

• Support the Sommelier in offering guests a world-cl wine experience.
• Provide a friendly, courteous and professional service to guests and colleagues.
• Ensure the wine list is up to date with correct vintages and prices.
• Ensure all the wines are stored properly in the cellar.
• Ensure mise-en-place and correct stock levels of wine are in place before each service.
• Support sales and ensure relevant and appropriate suggestions for wine.
• Ensure 100% contribution to LQA and Forbes standards.
• Report feedback and suggestions to the Sommelier and Outlet manager.

About you:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role in a luxury 5-star hotel or a restaurant.
• WSET Level-2 or equivalent degree
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Micros and Sevenrooms.
• Clear and effective communication ss in English, proficiency in at least one of the following languages preferred: Arabic, Chinese, Russian or any European language.
