Junior Project Engineer

Job Responsibilities

1. Manage all pre-installation works:
2. Ensure availability of adequate and firsthand information of contractual scope of works and deliveries.
3. Follow up on material deliveries in conjunction with factory and supply chain.
4. Monitor shaft readiness and ensure shafts dimensions are as per approved shop drawings.
5. Ensure adequate resources planning to meet project’s contractual requirements.
6. Request purchase order for subcontractors and local materials in conjunction with Project Manager and supply chain.
7. Coordinate with main contractors, architects, and consultant teams on project requirements:
8. Shop drawings, Technical submittals, Material samples, Method statements & Inspection and Test Plan approval.
9. Plan and arrange Logistic programme for safe and timely deliveries of escalators and elevator materials inside the building premises.
10. Submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports to the main contractor (as applicable according to project requirement).
11. Attend weekly/Bi-weekly meetings with MC.
12. Carry out Technical coordination and planning to interface elevators with Low Voltage devices.
13. Installation Phase:
14. Ensure adequate resources are available.
15. Raise Material Inspection Request upon deliveries of materials and assure timely approval.
16. Ensure proper communication/letters/records keeping with the MC in conjunction with Project Manager pertaining to all aspects of the project.
17. Follow up of installation progress through MS Projects, Primavera, or Excel spreadsheet as required.
18. Plan risk assessment prior to hoisting, rigging, and other critical activities.
19. Conduct TBT/FPA and ensure all other safety aspects are adhered to as per company’s laid down safety procedures.
20. Raise Trouble reports for any missing, short shipped, or defective materials and follow up on their deliveries.
21. Advise/Support installation teams for any installation related issues.
22. Ensure installation manuals, Engineering drawings, and approved shop drawings are available at all times.
23. Coordinate with supply chain to ensure local materials are ordered and available in a timely manner.
