Junior Maintenance Engineer

Within Fleet management dredging we are in transition of a tailormade system for Boskalis: Ship maintenance management system (SMMS). As junior maintenance engineer you make the difference by providing and maintaining working instructions for our colleagues (staff and fleet personnel). You gladly help and assist in any way you can so that a smooth transition can take place. In the system all our fleets necessities are recorded. It is crucial that the Ship maintenance management system is maintained perfectly so that we know what we have in stock. Otherwise ships can come to a standstill.
As a junior maintenance engineer you are a great connector. You do not mind travelling to our vessels when your help is required. We are looking for a candidate who is customer-friendly with great social skills. You are an empathic listener and you have great communication skills.

Your responsibilities as a junior maintenance engineer

• You are responsible for knowledge transfer. You provide and maintain working instructions and coordinate trainings.
• Develop business reporting (KPIs), analyze and provide insight in SMMS data and propose process optimizations.
• Monitor user requirements vs. functionality.

Your qualities and experience
You can move ahead as a junior maintenance engineer if you have:

• At least 3 years relevant work experience.
• Relevant background and experience in other asset management systems like Maximo etc.
• A working and thinking level at a bachelor's degree.
• In-depth knowledge of software programs.
• A good command of written and spoken English.
• A strong talent in process thinking.

• Your team: You will work together with the SMMS Competence Center for Fleet management together with at least 7 professionals in an informal environment.
• Where you will work: You will be working from our Abu Dhabi office.
• Full/part-time job: The position of junior maintenance engineer is a full-time job.
