Roles and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Lead Discipline Engineer, the candidate will assume sole responsibility for assigned engineering tasks:
- To carry out process discipline work within a project team, supporting the project team for the field development of oil & gas production facilities.
- To prepare process deliverables for a project in the oil and gas industry, ensuring that they conform to all applicable engineering codes and standards as well as the Client’s policies and procedures.
- To ensure that all work is completed without compromise to quality and is delivered according to the project schedule.
- To promote safe behaviour at all times.
- To carry out tasks as directed by the Lead / Senior Discipline Engineers.
- To coordinate with other disciplines during all stages of design development, construction, pre-commissioning, and start-up.
- To assist in the coordination of all activities related to process engineering design.
Qualifications
Engineering graduate with an Electrical Engineering degree.
Familiar with the fundamentals of electrical engineering design and analysis.
Strong commitment to safety.
Excellent command of the English language (both written and verbal).
Well adept in utilizing MS Office.
Good communication, reporting, and presentation skills.
Assisting in Design
- Support the design and development of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
- Create technical drawings and models using software such as AutoCAD or Revit.
- Assist in testing electrical components and systems to ensure they meet specifications and safety standards.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Help prepare project documentation, including specifications, reports, and engineering calculations.
- Participate in site visits to observe installations and gather data for ongoing projects.
- Work closely with senior engineers and other team members to contribute to project planning and execution.
Required Skills
- Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles, circuit design, and system analysis.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, MATLAB) is often required.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and perform basic calculations related to electrical systems.
- Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills for effective teamwork and reporting.
- Willingness to Learn: Eagerness to learn from senior engineers and develop technical skills.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: A degree in electrical engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Internships: Previous internships or co-op experiences in engineering can be advantageous for securing a position.
