Junior Design Coordinator

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Architect.

Position Overview

Coordinate design activities of the project, from initiation to closeout ensuring adherence to project schedule, specifications and drawings.

Responsibilities:

The individual will be responsible for (but not limited to):

1. Plan design activities; prepare a comprehensive schedule of all planned drawing submittals based on the project schedule in coordination with the Design Manager.
2. Verify and ensure the detailed drawing schedule from the subcontractor is in compliance with the project drawing schedule.
3. Review the technical queries/clarifications from the subcontractor, prepare clarification and raise the relevant queries/clarifications to the Design Manager. Review the clarifications from the consultant and transmit to all interfacing subcontractors as per the Design Manager’s direction.
4. Coordinate / follow up with subcontractors to ensure drawing submittals are completed as per schedule. Coordinate with subcontractors, Project team and consultants for completing the design activities of the project as per schedule.
5. Review subcontractor’s drawings for accuracy, quality and incorporation of relevant information; raise clarifications/queries to the subcontractor if required within 2 days.
6. Review the coordinated drawings with draftsmen to ensure the accuracy of the drawing and incorporation of relevant information.
7. Review design calculations from subcontractor for accuracy and incorporation of relevant information.
8. Review consultant’s approval/comments on the drawing submittals and forward the submittals to the subcontractor as per the Design Manager’s direction.
9. Provide weekly/monthly progress report with weekly/monthly look ahead to design Manager.
10. Develop drawings for various temporary facilities, logistics related designs as per the direction from the Design Manager.
11. Prepare/organize drawings for Authority’s approval as per Design Manager’s direction.
12. Review red line drawings and as-built drawings from subcontractors for accuracy and incorporation of relevant information.

Requirements:

1. Minimum 2-3 years relevant experience in Fit-out works.
2. Sound knowledge of key design software such as Staad, Prokon, Etab.
3. Sound knowledge and experience with AutoCAD, MS Office & Adobe Acrobat.
