Junior Biomedical Engineer

As a Junior Biomedical Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting in the development, testing, and maintenance of medical equipment and devices used in healthcare settings. Your duties will include conducting research, analyzing data, and collaborating with senior engineers to design innovative solutions that enhance patient care. You will also be involved in troubleshooting technical issues, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing training to medical staff on equipment usage. Additionally, you may be called upon to participate in product demonstrations and contribute to the documentation of engineering processes. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related field, strong analytical skills, and a passion for applying technology to improve healthcare outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior biomedical engineers in designing, testing, and maintaining medical equipment and systems.
• Perform routine inspections, calibrations, and repairs on medical devices such as ventilators, x-ray machines, and dialysis equipment.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to understand their needs and provide technical support for equipment usage.
• Conduct research and analyze data to recommend improvements in equipment design and functionality.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards in the development and maintenance of medical devices.
• Document all work activities, including maintenance procedures, technical specifications, and equipment modifications.
• Train medical staff on the proper usage and maintenance of biomedical devices.
• Participate in interdisciplinary teams to troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement solutions.
• Stay updated on advancements in biomedical engineering technology and practices to enhance job performance.
• Contribute to the development of new medical devices and technology through innovation and problem-solving skills.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field
• Strong knowledge of biomedical equipment and systems
• Proficiency in medical device regulations and standards
• Experience with biomedical instrumentation and troubleshooting
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
