Junior Accountant

Al Itqan is a leading company specializing in waterproofing and flooring solutions in the UAE. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our finance team and support our day-to-day financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Operations:

• Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Process invoices, payments, and expense reports promptly.
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure proper cash flow management.
• Handle daily cash transactions, deposits, and withdrawals.
• Ensure proper documentation of all cash-related activities.
• Prepare and maintain accurate cash flow statements.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and reports.
• Support the preparation and filing of VAT returns and ensure compliance with UAE regulations.
• Compile and analyze financial data for budgeting and forecasting purposes.

Compliance & Audit Support:

• Provide documentation for internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and UAE accounting standards.

Administrative Support:

• Handle vendor, client, and department inquiries related to payments and billing.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date filing systems for financial documents.

Ad Hoc Duties:

Assist the senior accountant with special projects and financial analysis tasks.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction or waterproofing industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software, such as Odoo, QuickBooks, Tally and similar tools.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations.
• Excellent skills in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Must be available to join immediately.
