Junior Accountant

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join the financial department of our client, a prestigious Federation. This is a great opportunity for someone eager to develop their accounting career and contribute to the smooth operation of the Federation's finances.

As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing daily accounting tasks, assisting in the preparation of financial statements, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, possess excellent attention to detail, and be comfortable working with numbers. You will work as part of a professional team to help the organization maintain transparency and financial efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Post and process journal entries to record all business transactions accurately.
2. Update accounts receivable and issue invoices.
3. Manage accounts payable and perform reconciliations.
4. Assist in preparing balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements in line with legal and Federation accounting guidelines.
5. Review expenses, payroll records, and other financial tasks as assigned.
6. Update financial data in databases for accurate and timely access.
7. Prepare and submit weekly/monthly financial reports.
8. Support senior accountants in monthly/yearly closings.
9. Assist with other accounting projects as required.

Key Requirements & Skills:

1. Proven experience as a Junior Accountant.
2. Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
3. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in work.
4. Strong analytical skills and comfort with numerical data.
5. A good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
6. Proficiency in MS Office, with knowledge of relevant accounting software (e.g., SAP).
7. A qualification in accounting (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is an advantage but not mandatory.
8. A BSC/BA in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
9. Fluency in Arabic is a must.
