JR. TECHNICIAN (AUTOMATION)

Key Accountabilities

1. Record all freezers and chillers temperatures on a log sheet and conduct a visual diagnostic check to ensure that proper storage temperatures are maintained for all food items.
2. Read the previous shift logbook and follow up any incomplete/pending maintenance requests.
3. Visually check the premises air-conditioning system, chillers, cooling towers, power supply panels, etc. to ensure the smooth running of all the equipment and ensure that preventive maintenance is taking place on a yearly basis as per a planned schedule by the Engineer in charge.
4. Provide standby maintenance to all maintenance requests/breakdown calls that come in on a daily basis and report back to the Charge hand on the progress of all jobs.
5. Advise the Charge hand and Maintenance In Charge about all the spare parts to be purchased in order to accomplish the jobs along with the proper justification. Propose changes of spare parts and recommend the change of equipment when re-occurring malfunction of equipment starts to become a constant problem.
6. Provide support and help with all other trades when required.
7. Ensure the personal safety of the jobholder by the correct use of tools/equipment and wearing the safety accessories/equipment as supplied by the company.
8. Apply the Quality Policy and Quality System established in accordance with ISO 9001:2000 international standards and execute responsibilities according to the department work procedures while reflecting EKFC Quality Policy.

Essential Requirements and Competencies

1. Technical certification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
2. Ability to work under pressure to meet targets and achieve results.
3. Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
4. Ability to action ad hoc requests as directed by the manager.
