A little taste of your day-to-day:

1. Assists in developing new dishes and products
2. Assists with organizing special events and special food promotions
3. Maintain comprehensive product knowledge including ingredients, equipment, suppliers, markets, and current trends
4. Follows the FBM daily orders
5. Participate in the planning and costing of menus
6. Develop and write standard recipes
7. Ensure that outstanding culinary technical skills are maintained
8. Maintain a hygienic kitchen
9. Assist in planning for future staffing needs
10. Assists in recruiting in line with company guidelines
11. Prepares and administers detailed induction program for new staff
12. Ensures training needs analysis of kitchen staff is carried out
13. Provides input for probation and formal performance appraisal discussions
14. Coaches, counsels and disciplines staff, providing constructive feedback
15. Regularly communicates with staff and maintains good relations
16. Assists in coordinating the preparation of the departmental annual budget
17. Controls and monitors departmental costs on an ongoing basis

What we need from you:

1. Must have similar experience working in either a luxury restaurant or a 5* hotel environment particularly in Italian Cuisine
2. Must have strong communication skills
3. Ability to lead a large team
4. Committed to serving food of the highest quality
5. Has a passion for cooking and creating new menu
