Joinery Project Manager

We are pleased to offer you a position as Joinery Project Manager with Desert Artisans Manufacturing LLC, Dubai. You will be reporting to the Production Manager.

Summary of Responsibilities

Responsible for managing joinery works from project award to project handover, which includes works on-site and off-site. The responsible manager is to manage all staff within the scope of works, quality of production, and delivery of items to all worksites. Depending on the size and timeframe of the project, the Joinery Manager will be requested to manage multiple projects at one time.

As part of your role, you will be requested to create business relationships with new and previous clients and showcase our facility in a positive light to potential clients, bringing further sales into the company to allow the joinery entity of the business to grow. We encourage you to take up residency in Dubai to enhance your position.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

1. Prepare project plans with the Planning Engineer for joinery schedule that includes the full life cycle from material submission, drawing approval, procurement, delivery, and installation.
2. Coordinate and source samples and TDS for the design team that are best applicable for the specific task of the project during the design phase.
3. Coordinate with the design team for any technical requirements during the design phase.
4. Coordinate with estimation and procurement teams to ensure all items are on track and within project timeframes.
5. Coordinate and send initial inquiries to suppliers when required.
6. Prepare reports for the project manager that accurately represent the status of joinery items for the client.
7. Supervise the installation of joinery with in-house team and/or subcontractors.
8. Expand our supply chain for both suppliers in the market and subcontractors for production and installation when required.
9. Supervise and coordinate between our in-house design team and the joinery supervisor for any technical issues, ensuring no conflict between design and production.
10. Carry out QA/QC procedures during production and prior to materials leaving the joinery warehouse to ensure no issues arise on-site.
11. Obtain approvals of works from Main Contractor / Consultant / Client on-site to ensure records of completed works.
12. Notify Main Contractor / Consultant / Client if site clearance is not achieved and if any delays will occur.

1. Must be qualified in a relevant field.
2. Must have own vehicle + driving license.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
4. Proficiency in MS Office.
5. Must be self-motivated and punctual.
6. Ability to lead a team.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong work ethic.
