Job Title: Joinery & Fit-Out Procurement Officer

Location: UAE

Experience Required: 4+ Years

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Joinery & Fit-Out Procurement Officer with 4+ years of UAE experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procuring materials and services for joinery and interior fit-out projects, working closely with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procure Materials: Source and purchase materials, finishes, and products for joinery and interior fit-out projects, ensuring they meet the required specifications and quality standards.
  • Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers, subcontractors, and manufacturers to ensure the best prices, quality, and lead times.
  • Cost Control: Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices and terms, ensuring that procurement costs stay within budget and timelines.
  • Tendering Process: Issue requests for quotations (RFQs), review bids, and prepare comparison sheets to help select the most cost-effective suppliers and subcontractors for each project.
  • Stock Management: Monitor inventory levels and manage the procurement of materials based on project schedules to ensure timely delivery and avoid delays.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all procured materials meet the project’s technical specifications and quality standards.
  • Delivery Coordination: Work closely with suppliers and logistics teams to ensure materials are delivered on time and in the correct quantities to avoid delays in project schedules.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain procurement records, including purchase orders, delivery schedules, invoices, and reports. Ensure all documents are accurate and up-to-date for project tracking.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers and site teams to understand material requirements, timelines, and any changes to scope, adjusting procurement schedules as necessary.
  • Market Research: Keep up-to-date with industry trends, new materials, and innovative products to ensure the company remains competitive in its offerings.
  • Risk Management: Identify and resolve any procurement-related risks, such as supply chain disruptions, material shortages, or delays, and suggest solutions to minimize impact on the project.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in procurement within the joinery, fit-out, or construction industry in the UAE.
  • Solid knowledge of joinery materials, finishes, and interior fit-out products.
  • Proven track record of successful procurement management, including purchasing, vendor negotiations, and cost control.
  • Strong understanding of local suppliers, materials, and supply chains in the UAE construction and interior design market.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard procurement software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, ERP systems).
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to handle multiple suppliers and contractors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of UAE laws and regulations related to procurement, customs, and logistics.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
