Role: Java Backend Developer

Location: Dubai (onsite)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Key Result Areas

  • Manage a diversified team of outsourced resources from partners who are responsible for critical services delivery and support.
  • Ensure adequate delivery & support for services as the entire operation is dependent on these applications with 24*7 support across 5 countries.
  • Ensure Stability and uptime of microservices through regular review with infrastructure colleagues and monitoring.
  • Review design on regular basis for enhancements.
  • Has implementation exposure on microservices architecture using Spring Boot and frameworks like Spring MVC, Spring JDBC, JSPs, JPA, Hibernate, threading concepts, memory management, front end technologies like React JS, Bootstrap, BPM technologies like BAW/BPM, Camunda.
  • Strong technical knowledge in the following: BPM tools like IBM BPM, Camunda, Omniflow, Omniscan, OmniDocs, Oracle DB 11g, Web Logic 11g, Java, JSF, Ajax, J2EE, SOA, ESB, JMS, Web Services, EJB, JAAS, JAXP, jQuery, Struts.
  • Strong knowledge on optimized DB queries.
  • Should have the knowledge on BAU handling across the BPM and Microservices platforms, good analytical thinking to debug the production issue and fix the same avoiding any business impact.
  • Responsible for Implementation of microservices for multiple teams across the organization.
  • Should have the exposure to explore the end to end.
  • Ability to estimate, propose, design, build & document solutions.
  • Have experience in leading technology workshops & training programs.
  • Conduct discovery and design sessions for business users & customers.
  • Analyze the existing system for the discovery of the core processes and rules involved so that the system could be converted to a workflow-based framework applying the core principles of BPM.
  • Customize various legacy utilities to make it reusable and decouple from the monolithic architecture.
  • Model and develop microservices adhering to architecture standards.
  • Engage and carry out change management activities such as process definitions, implementations, user acquaintance. Have provided solution guidance, advisory services for various environments & systems, carried out process improvements by avoiding interdependencies on different support groups.
  • Experienced in developing application blueprints, roadmaps, and data migration strategies.
  • Should have application development and production support experience.
  • Experience in troubleshooting performance issues, scalability, high availability, clustering.
  • Solutioning experience in large scale implementations.
  • Exposure to Agile, Project management.
  • Technical Experience of Java and J2EE implementations for large scale programs.
  • 3 end-to-end implementation project experience, production support for over 2 years, functional lead consultant experience for 5 years.
  • Implementation of technical deliverables: working processes, services, user interfaces, integrations, database queries, web services, etc. as needed.
  • Must have led a team of more than 4 developers on the service deliveries.
  • Experience with creating sophisticated coaches with Web 2.0 appearance and behavior.
  • Must have experience in creating reusable services toolkit.
  • Must have demonstrable experience working with Developers and mentor their use of BPM suites.
  • Participate / Review Technical Architecture documentation.

  • Member of the implementation team (including offshore) managing projects and IT initiatives.
  • Interacts with project stakeholders from business, enabling units, 3rd party representatives, and senior management.
  • Work with team members participating in shadowing and training activities and ensuring continuity of deliverables.
  • Adhere to project management, information controls and security frameworks/procedures, including change and incident management process.
  • Provide general administrative support to the team, including meetings, knowledge transfer and activity reporting. Ensure management is informed of risks, issues, project/activity status, and team accomplishments.
  • Brief teams on important project, operational and organizational issues.
  • Recognize team achievements and share success, promoting high performing teams.

  • Balance conflicting requirements and needs of team members and project stakeholders for optimal outcome.
  • Reconcile conflicts within and between teams. Allocate and schedule scarce resources to achieve organizational objectives. Full compliance with the change management & incident management process. Clear Requirement definitions. End/Business User communication/Training.
  • Knowledge sharing sessions. Customer Oriented approach.
  • Adapting best practices. RCA methods.

Decision Making Authority & Responsibility

  • Ensure operational change and incident management processes are performed.
  • Ensure project change requests are managed according to the project management methodology.
  • Negotiate with 3rd parties toward the best outcome for the project and organization.
