Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient IT Support Specialist to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our organization's technology infrastructure and providing exceptional technical support to our employees.

1. Respond to and resolve IT-related issues through our ticketing system, ensuring timely and effective solutions
2. Provide first-level support for hardware, software, and network-related problems
3. Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues for both Windows and Mac operating systems
4. Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems and peripherals
5. Implement and maintain IT security measures to protect company data and systems
6. Conduct regular system updates and patches to ensure optimal performance and security
7. Offer remote support to employees using various tools and technologies
8. Document technical solutions and maintain an up-to-date knowledge base
9. Collaborate with the IT team to improve support processes and enhance user experience
10. Provide training and guidance to end-users on IT best practices and new technologies

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT support or a similar role
3. Proficiency in Windows and Mac operating systems
4. Strong knowledge of networking protocols and troubleshooting techniques
5. Familiarity with IT security best practices and implementation
6. Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think analytically
8. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-focused approach
9. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
10. IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate (preferred)
11. Understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure and support processes
12. Willingness to work flexible hours as needed to support critical IT operations
