IT Specialist
Job description
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support the network infrastructure including setup, configuration, and maintenance to ensure seamless connectivity and optimal performance.
- Provide technical support to staff, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues to maintain productivity.
- Oversee security protocols to protect company data, including firewalls, antivirus software, and regular system updates.
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment including computers, printers, servers, and other peripherals.
- Monitor and maintain backups and disaster recovery plans to safeguard critical data and ensure business continuity.
- Support the team by managing user accounts, access permissions, and software licensing.
- Assist in the setup and support of design software used within the architecture industry (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and troubleshoot any related issues.
- Keep systems updated and maintain inventory of IT assets to ensure efficient management and replacement planning.
- Train staff on basic IT functions and best practices including network security and data privacy.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in IT support and network management, ideally within the architecture or design industry.
- Strong knowledge of network management, troubleshooting, and hardware/software installation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Windows OS, and familiarity with design software support (AutoCAD, Revit) is a plus.
- Experience with IT security protocols and disaster recovery planning.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or within a team.
- Strong communication skills to effectively support non-technical staff and handle diverse IT tasks.
