IT Procurement Specialist

We are currently seeking a highly driven and detail-oriented IT Procurement Specialist on behalf of one of our clients, a well-established and dynamic government entity based in Ras Al Khaimah. Position: IT Procurement Specialist

Location: Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement for IT hardware, software, and services.
• Develop sourcing strategies and analyze market trends to drive supplier selection and negotiations.
• Collaborate with internal departments to assess needs, define procurement plans, and communicate specifications clearly.
• Negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with legal, financial, and operational requirements.
• Create and issue RFPs, RFQs, POs, contracts, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Evaluate supplier performance, manage relationships, and resolve procurement issues.
• Track and analyze procurement data to support cost-saving initiatives and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes, including inventory and contract management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, IT, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven procurement experience, ideally in IT sourcing.
• Knowledge of procurement tools and systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba).
• Understanding of IT products, vendors, and service providers.
• CIPS certification is a strong advantage.
