IT Pentest Engineer

Job Title: Penetration Tester

Responsibilities:

1. Identify the target systems and the goal, review the information available, and undertake available means to attain the goal.
2. Conduct white box or black box testing.
3. Understand complex computer systems and technical cyber security terms.
4. Work with clients to determine their requirements from the test, including the number and type of systems they would like testing.
5. Plan and create penetration methods, scripts, and tests.
6. Carry out remote testing of a client's network or onsite testing of their infrastructure to expose weaknesses in security.
7. Simulate security breaches to test a system's relative security.
8. Create reports and recommendations from findings, including security issues uncovered and the level of risk.
9. Advise on methods to fix or lower security risks to systems.
10. Present findings, risks, and conclusions to management and other relevant parties.
11. Consider the impact of attacks on the business and its users.
12. Understand how identified flaws could affect a business or business function if not fixed.

Requirements:

1. Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or an IT-related discipline.
2. Extensive experience in penetration testing skills to penetrate organizational systems and networks for at least 3 years.
3. 8+ years working in IT security or related field (Cyber Security) with specific experience in:

• Mobile technologies and OSes (i.e., Android, iOS, Windows, hardware, and applications).
• C/C+/C++ Perl, Python, Shell, or other programming and scripting languages.
• Assessing operating system capabilities and vulnerabilities.
• Assessing hardware capabilities and vulnerabilities.
• Malware and code analysis, reverse engineering.
• Mitigation strategy development.
• Software, tool, and exploit development.
