Designation: IT Operations & Projects Manager

Reporting to: Group Director - IT

Job Objective: The IT Ops & Project Manager will oversee the operations of IT Networks, Systems, and Support in the production environment. This role is responsible for the daily operational upkeep and continuous improvements on all IT Operations and will closely manage project implementations, contributing significantly to strategic planning, market study, procurement, implementation, security, protocols, and management of Information Technology solutions in use and those needing procurement.

The position requires extensive experience in managing IT Operations for large-scale enterprises, with hands-on expertise in IT infrastructure, data centers, and emerging technologies. A strong systems background, along with a keen awareness of the latest advancements in IT operations, is essential. Additionally, this role requires exceptional project management skills, ensuring the successful delivery of IT projects while effectively leading teams.

A key component of this role is to leverage IT investments to drive continuous improvements and maximize the benefits of new systems and technologies.

Key Responsibilities/Duties:

• Manage the delivery of all IT Infrastructure Projects.
• Manage the benefit and utilization of newly deployed IT Operations Systems and Solutions.
• Ensure IT Operations reporting to IT Management and continuous KPI Improvements.
• Support in the Management of assets and endpoints.
• Support in the Management of IT Support functions.
• Assist in the operational compliance of accounts, users, access, security in line with measures put in place by management.
• Play a lead role in the revamp, upgrades, and maintenance of data centers.
• Plan and deliver solutions to standardize the support and technology used in data centers.
• Oversee the daily operations of IT Data Centers.
• Manage data center and assets Patching processes and technologies.
• Manage vendors, technology evaluations, business cases, scoping, and sizing.
• Manage the section KPIs and SLAs.
• Manage department team members, including performance and training assessments.

Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in Information Technology.
• Must have managed IT-related systems for at least 6 years.
• Must have managed IT Projects Delivery for at least 4 years.

• Asset Management Solutions.
• IT Service Desk Operations.
• SLA Management.
• M365 Administration.
• Data Center maintenance, upgrades, and controls.
• Backup & Disaster Recovery planning, implementation, and administration.
• Virtual Environments administration.
• Asset Patching Technologies.
• Projects & KPI Management.

Academic Qualifications:

• Preferably Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology.
• ITIL Certification.
• Project Management/PMP Certification.
• Microsoft relevant Certification.
• System Certified Certification.
