This role will be critical in ensuring the smooth operation of the hospital's IT infrastructure, security, and innovation in alignment with their high standards of patient care. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a forward-thinking approach to technology in a healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the management of IT systems, networks, and software to ensure smooth operations.
Plan and evaluate the hospital's information systems, ensuring efficient electronic data processing.
Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and strategies that support the hospital's vision.
Meet with department heads to assess system requirements, timelines, and cost estimates.
Manage IT staff and external vendors for the development and maintenance of IT solutions.
Supervise IT budgets, control expenditures, and ensure cost efficiency in technology investments.
Ensure that all technology hardware and software are up to date and meet security standards.
Manage data backup systems, disaster recovery plans, and cybersecurity measures.
Stay informed on emerging technologies, regulatory changes, and industry trends to drive IT strategy.
Provide leadership in innovative technologies like data warehousing, business intelligence, and mobile computing.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring timely resolutions.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in a healthcare or hospital environment.
Strong knowledge of IT systems management, data processing, and information security.
Experience in budget management and overseeing large-scale IT projects.
Familiarity with healthcare regulations and standards like JCI, ADHICS, and OSHMS.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to train and mentor IT staff.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex technical issues.
Up-to-date knowledge of current IT trends and technologies.
