The IT Manager will oversee the IT department, ensuring that technology systems and infrastructure are reliable, secure, and aligned with the organization's objectives. This role involves managing a team of IT professionals, maintaining system efficiency, and implementing technology strategies that support the company's business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of IT professionals, providing guidance and support for career development. Conduct regular performance evaluations, set goals, and manage staff scheduling.
IT Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement IT strategies to meet the company's needs and goals. Collaborate with senior management to align IT initiatives with business objectives. Assess and recommend new technologies to improve efficiency, security, and scalability.
Infrastructure Management: Oversee the management of all IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, hardware, and software. Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of IT systems. Manage and optimize IT budgets, including procurement and vendor relationships.
Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures to protect company data and systems. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards. Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments.
Project Management: Lead IT projects from planning to execution, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new systems or upgrades.
Support and Maintenance: Oversee IT support operations to ensure prompt resolution of technical issues. Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and documentation. Manage disaster recovery planning and ensure backup systems are in place.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in IT management or a similar role. Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure and services. Experience with IT budgeting, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of network and server management. Proficiency in cybersecurity practices and tools. Familiarity with cloud computing, virtualization, and enterprise software systems.
