Job Description
Plan, Develop and implement an information technology strategy to support the financial and business objectives of the company.
Develop appropriate computerized information systems to meet the needs of managers and staff.
Direct and control the staff of the department to ensure that they are appropriately motivated and trained and that they carry out their responsibilities to the required standard.
Establish and maintain all necessary information technology procedures and ensure that the necessary documentation and manuals while being up to date support all systems.
Help to define the IT training needs and provide training as required to ensure the most effective use of computer systems.
Develop an annual business plan and operating budget for the department and monitor the implementation to ensure that the expenditure is within limits.
Monitor and control the software development budget.
Identify areas in which the introduction of new technology will improve business performance and assist managers with the implementation of any new systems.
Develop a program of maintenance and support for all IT systems to ensure a minimum of downtime and fast resolution of any problem.
Provide a source of advice to managers and staff on information technology issues.
Maintain awareness of new developments in information technology and ensure that the company makes the best use of any such developments.
Represent the department on project teams to ensure that the best possible advice is given about the implication of any new IT systems and proposed changes.
Represent the company as required at meetings with customers and external contractors to ensure that the software design implications of any proposals are thoroughly considered and to help maximize sales.
Conduct post-project evaluations to ensure that systems implemented are operating effectively and providing the services required by users.
Develop and implement any necessary procedures and documentation required to support new IT systems and procedures.
Identify user requirements and develop project and product specifications that will ensure that these requirements are met.
Monitor the implementation of IT projects to ensure that all targets are reached and that the overall project is completed in accordance with agreed timescales and costs.
Develop a research and development program to review all new and potential IT technologies.
Contribute to the development of the company’s strategic business plans, particularly in relation to information technology and communications systems, in support of the company’s mission and core objectives.
Organize and control the central database and all data input and output to ensure that information required for management decision making and statutory compliance is accurate and provided at the right time.
Maintain an up-to-date and proactive maintenance program to preserve all IT company assets.
Coordinate with all branch managers to make sure that their affiliates' IT requirements are being serviced.
Monitor the hardware performance & network performance.
Carries out all requirements addressed from the CEO.
Maintain all systems effective at all times.
Monitor the performance of staff and take necessary disciplinary action when required.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree may be preferred.
Proven experience in IT management, with a strong background in BI, ERP (SAP), IT infrastructure, MIS, system integration, and SDLC.
Expertise in IT strategy development, IT Service Management (ITSM), and software project management.
In-depth knowledge of software development methodologies, ITIL framework, and SLA management.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Wide decision-making authority within the Policies & systems, Software & Hardware selection, Supplier selection.
Proficiency in IT infrastructure, systems administration, network administration, and cybersecurity. Knowledge of cloud computing and emerging technologies is often required.
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Ability to link high-level strategy to day-to-day projects.
Experience managing budgets and tracking KPIs.
Leadership skills, with experience facilitating cross-functional work.
