Job Description

The IT Field Support technician is responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting services to end-users in various locations. They will travel to different sites, resolve hardware and software issues, install and configure systems, and ensure smooth operation of IT equipment. The IT Field Support technician should have a good knowledge of computer systems, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and remote technical support to end-users.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems, both common and complex.
• Install, configure, and upgrade computer systems and software applications.
• Set up and troubleshoot network connections, printers, and peripherals.
• Educate users on best practices and provide training on new technologies.
• Follow established procedures to ensure data security and system backups.
• Maintain accurate records of all support requests and solutions provided.
• Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends.

Minimum Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience in IT support or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and software.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
