Role Overview:
The Digital Transformation Project Manager is a strategic role within our team, focused on driving digital transformation initiatives for our clients. Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Execution:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT/digital projects, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and business leaders, to ensure digital initiatives meet technical and business requirements.
- Engage with key stakeholders, including internal teams, vendors, and regulatory bodies, to gather requirements and provide project updates.
- Team Leadership and Coordination:
- Oversee and manage project teams, including IT specialists, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration within teams to achieve project milestones and objectives.
- Risk Management:
- Identify project risks and issues early, proposing mitigation strategies to minimize potential impacts.
- Monitor risk management plans and ensure proper documentation.
- Budget and Resource Management:
- Ensure optimal allocation of resources, including human resources, software, hardware, and third-party services.
- Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and control costs.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure deliverables meet the required quality standards, including regulatory and compliance requirements around data security and privacy.
- Implement best practices for project delivery and adhere to quality control processes.
- Change Management:
- Guide organizational change associated with digital transformation, including employee training, process changes, and technology adoption.
- Work with business units to ensure smooth transitions during digital or IT system upgrades and implementations.
- Regulatory and Compliance Oversight:
- Ensure that all projects comply with relevant industry standards, including cybersecurity requirements and environmental guidelines.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes impacting the industry and integrate them into project strategies.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare regular project status reports, executive briefings, and post-project evaluations.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including scope, deliverables, and timelines.
- Innovation and Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and technology advancements.
- Foster a culture of innovation within the team, driving the adoption of emerging technologies.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in IT/Digital project management.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration (with a strong focus on digital/tech), or a related field.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of digital technologies (e.g., AI, IoT, cloud computing) and their application in business contexts.
- Industry Experience: A deep understanding of the energy and utilities sector is considered a plus.
