IT / Digital Transformation Senior Project Manager

Role Overview:
The Digital Transformation Project Manager is a strategic role within our team, focused on driving digital transformation initiatives for our clients. The successful candidate will lead cross-functional teams to develop and execute go-to-market strategies, leveraging cutting-edge digital solutions to enhance client performance and competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Execution:
   • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT/digital projects, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
   • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
2. Stakeholder Management:
   • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and business leaders, to ensure digital initiatives meet technical and business requirements.
   • Engage with key stakeholders, including internal teams, vendors, and regulatory bodies, to gather requirements and provide project updates.
3. Team Leadership and Coordination:
   • Oversee and manage project teams, including IT specialists, engineers, and other stakeholders.
   • Ensure effective communication and collaboration within teams to achieve project milestones and objectives.
4. Risk Management:
   • Identify project risks and issues early, proposing mitigation strategies to minimize potential impacts.
   • Monitor risk management plans and ensure proper documentation.
5. Budget and Resource Management:
   • Ensure optimal allocation of resources, including human resources, software, hardware, and third-party services.
   • Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and control costs.
6. Quality Assurance:
   • Ensure deliverables meet the required quality standards, including regulatory and compliance requirements around data security and privacy.
   • Implement best practices for project delivery and adhere to quality control processes.
7. Change Management:
   • Guide organizational change associated with digital transformation, including employee training, process changes, and technology adoption.
   • Work with business units to ensure smooth transitions during digital or IT system upgrades and implementations.
8. Regulatory and Compliance Oversight:
   • Ensure that all projects comply with relevant industry standards, including cybersecurity requirements and environmental guidelines.
   • Stay updated on regulatory changes impacting the industry and integrate them into project strategies.
9. Reporting and Documentation:
   • Prepare regular project status reports, executive briefings, and post-project evaluations.
   • Maintain accurate project documentation, including scope, deliverables, and timelines.
10. Innovation and Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and technology advancements.
    • Foster a culture of innovation within the team, driving the adoption of emerging technologies.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Experience: 10+ years of experience in IT/Digital project management.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration (with a strong focus on digital/tech), or a related field.
• Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of digital technologies (e.g., AI, IoT, cloud computing) and their application in business contexts.
• Industry Experience: A deep understanding of the energy and utilities sector is considered a plus.
