IT Compliance Officer

We are currently recruiting for an IT Compliance Officer for our client to be based out of their Abu Dhabi office.

Job Purpose:

Ensure IT operations and its performance are in line with Federal and regulatory governance and standards. Comply with international standards with a view to ensuring that IT operations conform to best practices and stipulate standards.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that IT operations are in line with set policies and procedures.
• Respond to issues of non-compliance with rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and Standards of Conduct and communicate the same to the Director - IT for further action and resolution.
• Monitor applicable regulatory changes and provide effective change management to address such changes.
• Keep abreast of new products, technologies, and applications as well as their implications and recommend improvements to policies and procedures
• Ensure that assets, including licences, used to deliver services are managed according to statutory and regulatory requirements and contractual obligations
• Ensure all service/ change requests are documented and fulfilled based on standards
• Ensure that service management processes are integrated with other components of the SMS and ensure that service management processes are designed, implemented, and improved in accordance with the policy and objectives for service management
• System Management and ensure its compliance with related activities by guiding the IT team to fix the compliance requirements emerging due to the certification of ISO 27001 & ISO 20000 standards and undertake any process improvements required as part of the compliance needed for ITSM and ISMS standards.
• This is a critical role in the governance of the IT Department, with regard to ISO 27001, ISO 20000 and other standards and ensuring that IT Team complies with standards.
• May be required to work some hours extra or weekends in the event of an IT audit, fixing gaps, or training.
• The role holder is required to keep abreast of all the latest trends in IT governance and technologies to ensure that IT is in line with International best practice.
• The job holder is a Service Manager in Service Management Standard
• Prepare and review IT policies and procedures as per ISO 27001, ISO 20000, ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 14001 standards.
• Create flowchart to document business systems and processes for ISMS, ITSM and other standards.
• Develop required procedures, work instructions and checklists as required for the ITSM and ISMS framework.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in IT or Information Systems, MIS related discipline with 4-5 years experience in a similar environment.
• Expertise in IT Governance, Service Management , IT Risk Assurance & Business Continuity , Quality Assurance & Compliance Review ,Business Intelligence , IT Procurement Planning , Information & Cyber Security ,Enterprise Architecture , System Management.
