Job description

Black & Grey HR is seeking an IT Assistant Manager Logistics Business Application for a globally recognized logistics services company. The selected candidate will be responsible for IT applications management, security compliance, and ERP systems along with strong leadership and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategy & Planning
    Support the Head of IT in aligning business applications with organizational goals.
    Research and recommend new technologies to enhance business applications.
    Implement software solutions that drive efficiency and meet business needs.
  2. Acquisition Deployment & Support
    Assess and implement new applications and enhancements in the UAE.
    Analyze existing systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
    Promote best practices for application usage.
    Coordinate with IT providers, internal teams, and business users to manage project timelines and support SLAs.
    Ensure system integrations align with business and compliance requirements.
    Work with vendors and stakeholders to troubleshoot and optimize applications.
    Oversee application upgrades and enhancements.
  3. Information Systems Control & Security
    Conduct application control and security reviews.
    Assess compliance with system standards, security policies, and disaster recovery plans.
    Evaluate internal controls and security measures for existing and new systems.
    Periodically review ITGC controls and Information Security compliance per Group Policies.
    Lead initiatives for enhancing information security.
  4. Operational Management
    Supervise the application team to support business operations effectively.
    Identify opportunities to improve business processes through technology.
    Ensure application security, availability, and compliance with industry standards.
    Develop and maintain relationships with internal departments and external vendors.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  2. 10 years of experience in IT application transformation and 5 years of experience in IT application management and information security.
  3. Project management certification or relevant experience.
  4. Expertise in ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or MS Dynamics).
  5. Experience in cross-functional system integration and business process improvement.
  6. Knowledge of system and data quality assurance methodologies.
  7. Background in information systems auditing is an advantage.
  8. CISA certification is preferred.
  9. Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles is a plus.
  10. Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to a dynamic business environment.
