Job Description We are looking for a qualified IT Technician that will install and maintain computer systems and networks aiming for the highest functionality. You will also train users of the systems to make appropriate and safe usage of the IT infrastructure.
A successful IT Technician must have a thorough knowledge of computer software and hardware and a variety of internet applications, networks, and operating systems. The ideal candidate will also have great troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail.
The goal is to build and maintain updated and efficient computer systems and networks to optimize the role of technology in business sustainability.
Responsibilities Manage and configure network devices: routers, switches, firewalls, and other network hardware assets to ensure the network functions efficiently. Manage & troubleshoot computer hardware, software, printers, scanners, network switches, laptops, CCTV, and Biometric systems. Assign IP addresses with subnets & manage the subnetting to ensure proper communication across the network. Manage Firewall VPN for company security protocols & configuration for remote users to access shared drives. Troubleshoot network infrastructure issues: Identify and resolve network-related problems (e.g., speeds, outages, cable structure) quickly to minimize downtime. Manage antivirus administration, policies, profiles, installation & management (Kaspersky) & implement security measures: Install and configure intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), antivirus programs, and other security tools. Manage IP phone management (Grandstream) global system console. Manage firewalls to block unauthorized access and ensure network security. Perimeter firewall, security endpoints management & troubleshooting for Internet traffic, policy updates, security profiles assessment & network management. In-depth understanding of switching protocols, troubleshooting LAN, VLAN, access, trunk etc. (Aruba). Request/purchase IT goods/assets from the Oracle system. Share folder/server daily & weekly Acronis backups. Fulfill project-related requirements. Manage global attendance portal (ZK). Manage all users' inventory/asset management details. O365 emails & email security policies along with OneDrive solutions. Visit sites as per company requirements. L1/L2 support for all remote sites along with call support. Manage access points with standard restriction policies. Arrange online meetings with internal teams & outside clients/vendors. Deal with AMC vendors for renewal & support services (Printers/CCTV). Desired Candidate Profile Proven experience as IT Technician or relevant position. Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication ability. Outstanding organizational and time-management skills. In-depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks. Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles. Degree in Computer Science, engineering or relevant field. Certification as IT Technician will be an advantage.
