Robert Walters is working with a globally known organisation who is keen to hire a hands-on assistant Tax Manager for their growing team in the region who can handle a wide scope of responsibilities that include:
Assist in the preparation and review of tax returns ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and deadlines.
Conduct research on tax issues and assist in implementing tax planning strategies.
Support tax audits and inquiries by providing necessary documentation and explanations to tax authorities.
Collaborate with other departments to gather required financial data for tax reporting purposes.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate potential impacts to management.
Assist in developing and implementing internal controls related to tax compliance.
Prepare tax provisions and reconcile tax accounts during month-end and year-end closing processes.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACCA) are preferred.
Strong understanding of local and international tax laws.
Proven experience as an assistant Tax Manager or similar role in a multinational.
Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
