Job Summary:
The Card Issuing Specialist will be responsible for establishing and managing the end-to-end process of card business (including card issuance, personalization, activation, and commercial).
Key Responsibilities:
Develop a thorough understanding of the Client business and priorities;
Evaluate and quantify Client-specific opportunities and risks in the local market context;
Integrate insights from recent market trends into business performance improvement plans;
Handle all aspects of scheme pricing (interchange and scheme pricing);
Implement the priority value realization activities with rigor, discipline, and focus on Client impact;
Deploy selected optimal mix of Mastercard products and services needed to improve Client's business performance;
Coordinate resources, Mastercard, Client, as well as third parties to ensure sustained quality of Client activities (deliverables and timelines);
Ensure compliance with scheme mandates and regulations;
Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis and collaborate with the team to optimize pricing strategies;
Review P&L (profit and loss) lines for issuing business to ensure financial feasibility;
Continuously track performance of relevant target portfolios, products, and services;
Create value visibility for priority initiatives across relevant metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) with action-driving dashboard;
Set up and manage a Client control tower to improve speed and quality of decision-making.
Minimum Requirements:
Proven experience in card issuing and payment processing with end-to-end experience on product portfolio launch (prepaid or debit);
Extensive experience working on payment products and proposition launches;
In-depth understanding of interchange, scheme pricing, and regulations;
Solid organizational abilities with keen attention to detail and effective multitasking;
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
