Black & Grey HR is hiring for a prominent landscaping company in the UAE. Our client is looking to hire an Irrigation Supervisor who will be responsible for:
Organizing, monitoring, and supervising the landscape maintenance project.
Reporting to the Project Engineer and Project Manager.
Reading, analyzing, executing, installing, and maintaining irrigation systems according to irrigation drawings.
Preparing site-specific maintenance PPMs for:
Pumps
Irrigation tanks
Central controllers
Field irrigation controllers
Irrigation control valves
Solenoid valves
Secondary irrigation systems
Delegating, supervising, monitoring, and instructing Crew Leaders and crew on daily routine PPMs and reactive jobs.
Submitting daily reports, either verbal or written, to the PMs regarding daily activities.
Receiving instructions and direction from the assigned Irrigation Manager and/or Projects Manager.
Exercising direct supervision over assigned staff.
Selecting, training, motivating, tracking, assigning, and overseeing the work of staff.
Establishing schedules and methods for work performed, ensuring adherence to proper work group procedures and policies.
Providing proactive performance planning (PPP) and preparing pre-mobilization site condition survey reports.
Maintaining effective one-on-one dialogue with all employees on a regular basis.
Recommending and assisting the team in implementation.
Determining equipment and material supply needs.
Monitoring equipment/material performance, preparing material requisitions, and making routine and emergency purchases as required after obtaining approvals.
Responding to all emergency maintenance calls within KPI time frames.
Attending all work-related calls and responding appropriately.
Responding to requests, reports, and incidents from clients and crew, investigating complaints, and taking necessary corrective actions immediately to resolve complaints.
Monitoring and supervising the team with full presence if necessary.
Ensuring coordination between irrigation and all other maintenance divisions and departments, as well as outside agencies and contractors as needed.
Ensuring proper water shutdowns during rains, storms, periodic changes, pipe breaks, and all other emergency irrigation works.
Personally monitoring and achieving this at each site of operations.
Being responsible for creating photographic and videotape reports for the irrigation network system components for evaluation, submission, and approval for the client.
Ensuring all safety guidelines are followed.
Coordinating, investigating, performing, and reporting all inspections of the irrigation maintenance system infrastructure.
Maintaining, adjusting, calibrating, and programming all types of irrigation field controllers, satellite controllers, and computer-based central control systems for the site irrigation systems.
Requirements
Minimum of 5-8 years experience handling at least 3 sites of not less than 40 irrigation valve stations.
Principles and practices of landscape maintenance.
Equipment, tools, and materials used in landscape maintenance.
Basic principles and practices of supervision and training.
Principles and practices of Safety Management.
Principles of Landscape Irrigation and Horticulture.
Office procedures, methods, and equipment.
Ability to organize, implement, and direct the operational activities and the team.
Read and interpret maps, plans, sketches, diagrams, etc.
