We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced IP Medical Coder to join our team. As an IP Medical Coder, you will be responsible for reviewing and accurately assigning diagnostic and procedural codes for inpatient medical records. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and disease processes. You will work closely with healthcare providers to ensure proper coding and documentation, as well as comply with all coding regulations and standards. Additionally, you will be responsible for abstracting and analyzing clinical data from patient records. The successful candidate must have a valid coding certification (such as CCS) and previous experience working in inpatient coding. Responsibilities
Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes to medical diagnoses and procedures for billing and reimbursement purposes.

Ensure confidentiality and security of patient information while handling medical records.
Collaborate with various healthcare professionals to ensure accurate coding and billing practices.
Perform regular audits to assess coding accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
Participate in coding training and continuing education programs to enhance coding skills and knowledge.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in health information management or related field.
Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credential.
Proficiency in medical coding systems such as ICD-10 and CPT.
Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy.
Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in medical coding or billing.
