Role Description:

The Investment Researcher will analyze residential and hospitality real estate markets to identify investment opportunities and assess risks. Responsibilities include conducting market research, evaluating property performance, developing financial models, and preparing detailed reports to guide strategic decisions. This role requires staying updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and global market developments to provide actionable insights for residential and hospitality investments.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive research on real estate markets, including residential, commercial, and industrial sectors, to identify emerging trends, property values, and market dynamics.
  • Analyze market data such as rental yields, property values, vacancy rates, supply and demand, and demographic shifts.
  • Assess local, regional, and global economic factors that could impact real estate markets, such as interest rates, inflation, employment trends, and population growth.
  • Identify emerging opportunities and risks in residential and hospitality markets.
  • Evaluate potential investment opportunities based on financial performance, risk factors, and market conditions.
  • Perform financial modeling, including cash flow projections, return on investment (ROI) analysis, and capitalization rate calculations, to assess the viability of investments.
  • Provide insights into property acquisitions, dispositions, and redevelopment opportunities for the development team.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence for potential real estate acquisitions and developments, including legal, financial, and environmental considerations.
  • Evaluate risks related to property investments, such as zoning laws, environmental regulations, or market volatility.
  • Prepare risk mitigation strategies and recommendations based on research findings.
  • Assist in monitoring the performance of existing real estate investments and suggest adjustments or improvements based on market research.
  • Analyze property portfolio data to ensure the company’s investments align with strategic goals.
  • Use data analytics and forecasting techniques to predict future real estate trends, including shifts in demand for various types of properties (e.g., commercial, residential, industrial).
  • Stay ahead of market trends, technological advancements in real estate (e.g., smart buildings), and demographic shifts.

Job Requisites:

  • Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or Master’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • Industries Acceptable From: Real Estate Development Firms; Private Equity & Real Estate Investment Firms; Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs); Banking and Finance; Consulting Firms
