Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support management in leading the asset management investment process, the underwriting on new potential acquisitions, and the closing of potential acquisitions in conjunction with the Executive Director.
  • Manage the relationships with existing Aldar JVs/Subsidiaries, periodic monitoring of JVs/Subsidiaries financial performance, develop / identify acquisitions and disposals of joint ventures and Subsidiaries.
  • Lead the asset management investments proposals across all stages of the transaction from sourcing to execution.
  • Prepare all requirements needed in all acquisition phases including proposals, teasers, memoranda, management presentations.
  • Identify opportunities through researching and analyzing potential acquisition recommendations received from brokers, executive management and external networks; gain thorough understanding of financial performance, contractual commitments, operations, facilities, etc.
  • Conduct both quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify and execute on market opportunities in the UAE.
  • Identify and lead the due diligence process; coordinate efforts in conjunction with legal and commercial divisions (and external advisers), proposing key terms and potential transaction structures.
  • Interact directly with acquisition representatives, ensuring complete understanding of business.
  • Review the financial and valuation models and assist with budgeting, forecasting and assessing financial results, in addition to valuing intangible assets and determining purchase price allocations.
  • Review and prepare presentation materials/memoranda and financial and impact assessment reports for the executive management.
  • Provide necessary support with potential M&A deal targets and third-party service providers, including deal valuation, due diligence, and financial structuring/restructuring.
  • Coordinate with agents, owners and brokers on potential acquisitions, coordinate with valuers and structural engineers in DD process, coordinating with lawyers and reviewing contracts, coordinating with banks to secure lending and negotiating terms.
  • Manage and maintain asset acquisition records/documents and ensure proper handover/transition of acquired asset to relevant teams/individuals.
  • Initiate partnership with the various internal/external parties to drive PE Portfolio Performance Monitoring, creating various reporting tools and dashboards to analyze the overall performance and health of private equity.
  • Define the financial and strategic metrics to establish the positioning of JVs/Subsidiaries and ensure alignment of the operating plans.
  • Establish regular financial reporting framework between JVs/Subsidiaries and Aldar’s Acquisitions and Adjacent Business team including improving monthly reporting packs and Board packs and internal reporting frameworks.
  • Develop the JVs and Subsidiaries: a) Five-year business plans (strategic and financial), b) risk registers and mitigation plans, c) business performance framework, d) annual budgets.
  • Undertake deep dives into the business operations/financial performance and prepare recommendation papers for the Boards, highlighting areas of organizational and operational improvement and taking lead for realizing efficiencies, revenue generation and cost saving initiatives in a timely and structured manner.
  • Track/monitor Aldar’s JVs and Subsidiaries business performance and provide periodic report to the line manager.

Qualification And Experience

  • Min of 8+ years of at least 5 years of experience in real estate, private equity, investment banking, buy side or sell side advisory or another related field.

YOE IN MANAGERIAL POSITION : Min of 4+ years experience in managerial position.

FIELD OF EXPERIENCE: Banking, real estate consultancy, management consultancy.

Technical And Interpersonal Skills

  • Outstanding analytical and quantitative skills; proficiency with standard software, including MS Office; advanced Excel skills is a must.
  • Proven track record in conducting valuation/financial models.
  • Able to analyze, evaluate and move quickly to support rapid decision making.
  • Ability to interpret and manage transaction documentation: NDAs, MoUs, LoI’s, and SPA’s.
  • Ability to develop Board level papers and investment memoranda.

Desired Candidate Profile

QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Economics, Finance or Accounting, MBA (Finance), CFA, CA or CPA preferred.

  • Efficiency in developing board level acquisition memos, presentations.
  • Smooth and timely acquisition transactions process including screening, assessment, managing due diligence work streams, definitive documentation and coordinating internally and externally.
  • Managing Aldar’s JVs/subsidiaries reporting, workflows, board packs, value enhancement initiatives.
  • Investment Expertise: Strong knowledge of investment principles, strategies, and financial markets.
  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical abilities to assess financial data and make informed investment decisions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with clients and presenting complex information clearly.
  • Quantitative Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools, as well as familiarity with data analysis software.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in conducting research and preparing reports.
  • Team Leadership: Ability to mentor and support junior team members, fostering their professional development.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to navigate complex investment scenarios and develop effective strategies.
  • Time Management: Effective time management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of relevant regulations and compliance requirements in the investment management industry.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust strategies and approaches based on changing market conditions and organizational goals.
