Investment Director/Manager (Family Office)

One of our clients is seeking an Investment Specialist to support the Chairman (Family Office) in managing a diversified portfolio and overseeing comprehensive portfolio management. The role involves conducting in-depth equity analysis and research to guide investment strategies, as well as executing put option orders for long-term exposure. Additionally, the position requires facilitating investment-related communications with leading private banks.

Mandatory: Family Office

  • Managed a diversified portfolio of private equity fund investments for the family office across sectors.
  • Set up a good working relationship with asset management companies, dealers, brokers, banks/advisors for both domestic and international opportunities.
  • Make asset allocation decisions & invest across all asset classes, offer a whole host of products to clients, make investment proposals & pitches to wealth clients and present those at various prospective forums along with bankers.
  • Responsible for advising the Promoter on overall fund (Public Market) and on assigned sectors BFSI, Consumer, and small & mid-caps. Generate new ideas, evaluate them based on a checklist and recommend the same to the investment committee.
  • Meet Sr management to understand business, perform financial due diligence (Detailed Financial Model), and check on the ground business scenario through primary research.
  • Led negotiations with General Partners in Private Equity funds to optimize returns and align interests.
  • Financial Oversight: Monitor budgets, financial performance, and profitability.
  • Collaborate with accountants or finance teams to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Identify cost-saving and efficiency improvement opportunities.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain positive relationships with employees, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Resolve conflicts within the family or business amicably. Uphold and promote family values in all business dealings.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7-8 years+ of experience in Finance, Equity Market, specializing in investment management and financial analysis across various markets.
  • The candidate needs to have deep sectoral knowledge of the commodity sector.
  • Need to have a fair understanding of the pulse of its commodity segment.
  • The ideal candidate should have a strong analytical mindset and a deep passion for investing.
  • MBA in Finance, CA, or CFA or similar certifications preferred.
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and market analysis.
  • Experience interacting with senior management, clients, and institutional investors.
