The role will primarily be supporting Portfolio Managers and Head of Capital Markets in performing in-depth fundamental analysis and idea generation covering companies and sectors globally.
Core Tasks/ Responsibilities:
Recommend long term investment themes / stock ideas across the US and the ROW.
Support the team in the development of new investment opportunities by conducting targeted search, thorough analysis and providing final recommendations.
Develop and maintain relationships with Company Managements and Industry Experts.
Assist the team in Sector/Region/Macro Research by building in-depth understanding of key sectors (Technology, Financials, Industrials etc.), Regions and Macro-Economic developments
Assist Portfolio Manager and Head of Capital Markets to build and maintain a Global Focused ETF Portfolio.
Identify and recommend thematic and style ETF’s across US markets.
Prepare detailed reports, models, and presentations for senior management across various sectors/regions.
Actively monitor the existing investments and help the reporting specialist with performance reporting, risk and return metric calculations etc.
Experience:
Candidates should have 2-3 years of experience in listed equities or related work experience working with a buy side investment team or sell side research firm focused on capital markets.
Core Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics or mathematics
MBA from a top-tier institute or CFA (working towards) is highly preferred
Detail oriented with a solid knowledge of financial analysis and modelling under several standards
In-depth understanding of Listed Equity asset class, Equity Valuations and analysis.
Moderate understanding of other asset classes including Fixed Income, Derivatives, Private Credit and other Structured Products
Strong quantitative skills. Well versed with MS Excel. Prior experience with programming languages like Python and Business analytics tools like Power BI are desired, but not essential
Basic understanding of Data Science/ML techniques or willingness to work towards it
Team Player
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Arabic speaking is a plus, but not mandatory
