ALEC Engineering and Contracting L.LC. (ALEC), part of the Investment Corporation of Dubai (ICD), is a large construction company with related businesses operating in the GCC and with a presence in Africa. ALEC has extensive experience in complex projects across diverse sectors including airports, retail, hotels & resorts, high-rise buildings, themed projects as well as construction management, design management, estimating, cost planning and procurement.

ALEC also possesses a Design and Build capability, which enables us to provide integrated construction solutions to our clients. ALEC offers its clients a complete turnkey solution including construction, MEP, fit-out, energy efficiency and solar solutions, heavy equipment rental and modular construction solutions.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Internal Communications Specialist to join our team.

The individual will be responsible for (but not limited to):

Key Responsibilities:

Content Development: Create, edit, and refine engaging content for internal communications, including emails, newsletters, intranet articles, leadership messages, campaign materials, and more.

Strategic Messaging: Partner with leadership and internal stakeholders to craft clear, impactful messages that support business objectives and corporate initiatives.

Channel Management: Optimize and oversee internal communication channels such as email, intranet platforms, digital signage, presentations, and town hall events.

Campaign Execution: Support and implement communication strategies for company-wide initiatives, programs, and employee engagement campaigns.

Employee Engagement: Develop content that fosters a strong company culture, encourages collaboration, and reinforces the company's mission and values.

Feedback & Continuous Improvement: Gather insights from employees and stakeholders to refine and enhance communication effectiveness.

Performance Measurement: Monitor engagement metrics and employee feedback to assess the impact of internal communications and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in internal communications, content creation, or corporate communications.
  • Proven ability to write and tailor messages for diverse internal audiences.

Skills:

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities.
  • Strong understanding of internal communication best practices and strategies.
  • Proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Slack, Microsoft Teams, etc.).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
