Internal Auditor

MixJet Flight Support is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Internal Auditor to join our team in Sharjah, UAE. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auditing, preferably within the aviation or flight support services sector, and demonstrate high ethical standards, integrity, and professionalism. This role is essential to strengthening our internal control framework, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement across all departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct internal audits across all business units, including finance, operations, ground handling, fueling, and trip support services.
• Assess and improve internal controls, risk management processes, and compliance with ICAO, GCAA, and UAE standards.
• Identify operational inefficiencies, business risks, and opportunities for cost savings or process enhancements.
• Prepare comprehensive audit reports outlining findings, implications, and corrective action plans.
• Collaborate with department heads to ensure implementation of audit recommendations.
• Contribute to the development and execution of a risk-based annual audit plan.
• Ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations including VAT and Corporate Tax.
• Stay updated on aviation compliance frameworks and audit best practices applicable in the UAE and the wider GCC region.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional certifications such as CIA, CPA, ACCA, or CA are strongly preferred.
• 3–5 years of internal audit experience, with at least 2 years in the aviation or flight support sector.
• Familiarity with aviation operations such as ground handling, fueling, permits, and charter services.
• In-depth understanding of IFRS and UAE financial regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is a plus.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); Arabic is preferred.
• Demonstrates high ethical standards, integrity, and confidentiality.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of ICAO, EASA, and IATA compliance standards.
• Experience auditing FBOs, airport operations, or aviation service providers.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
