Job description
Responsibilities
Support the Internal Audit Manager in completing internal audit engagements with minimum supervision.
Perform the Operational Risk Assessment activities and support in the development of a risk-based Internal Audit Plan.
Lead the planning and execution of operational audits to evaluate the operational efficiency and effectiveness of main processes, and to determine the effectiveness, efficiency, and economy of operation.
Identify control gaps and opportunities for improvement.
Apply advanced data analytics techniques to analyze and test large datasets, ensuring insights are effectively reported.
Assess and ensure the company’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and organization policies.
Propose recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and identify other areas of improvement.
Prepare audit reports detailing audit findings and recommendations.
Support the Internal Audit Manager in executing the Audit Plan and related KPIs.
Regularly update the Internal Audit Manager with regards to the status of the audits, including key findings and constraints faced as well as recommendations.
Build up on lessons learned from previous audit recommendations and manage their implementation in current audit processes when and where relevant.
Qualifications
Relevant Bachelor Degree with Preferable Professional certification, such as CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) or CA (Chartered Accountant).
Required Skills
Minimum 3 years experience as Internal Auditor.
Knowledge of auditing standards, UAE laws, and regulations.
Experience in developing and executing audit plans and evaluating internal control systems.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with the ability to work with large data sets.
Working knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to adapt to changing regulatory environments and industry practices.
Knowledge of ERP systems and experience with data analytics.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
