About the Job:
An opportunity has arisen for an intern to join Human Resources in Jumeirah Corporate. The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:

  1. Meet and greet colleagues with a smile at all times; responsible for dealing with all colleague queries and telephone calls that come through the office and directing them to the relevant HR colleague.
  2. Manage the online recruitment system (Taleo) by publishing vacant positions, screening candidates, shortlisting suitable CVs for the department, and giving relevant feedback to the candidates.
  3. Maintain up-to-date files ensuring that filing is completed on a regular basis.
  4. Upon receipt of all medical appointments from HR Admin, ensure these are sent to the respective departments.
  5. Handle confidential matters/information with the appropriate level of sensitivity.
  6. Review and monitor new hire requests and status changes and process according to the company guidelines effectively and efficiently by communicating with the candidates and hiring department and coordinating with HR Administration.
  7. Ensure security checks for new colleagues are done as well as vetting of all Grades 7 and above (if applicable) as per company policy.
  8. Update all departments (coordinators and line managers) with the latest information on new joiners.
  9. Drive change, influence transitions, and actively seek and contribute to ideas and solutions for continuous improvement.
  10. Ensure timely and effective coordination of the hotel's recruitment process from candidate application to onboarding and arrival.

About you:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Fluency in written and verbal business English.
  • Demonstrated intermediate level in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Professionally groomed.
