Job description

We are seeking a dynamic Interior Sales Designer who will be responsible for engaging with customers, understanding their design requirements, and guiding them through the selection process for home furnishings. This role involves consulting with clients to create aesthetically pleasing and functional living spaces by offering design expertise, personalized recommendations, and technical advice on products like sofas, beds, mattresses, wall cladding, kitchens, wardrobes, and other furniture. The ideal candidate will blend creative design skills with excellent sales acumen to drive customer satisfaction and revenue growth.


Requirements

  1. Customer Consultation and Needs Assessment:

    • Engage with customers to understand their design preferences, lifestyle requirements, and budget constraints.

    • Conduct in-depth consultations in clients' homes or through virtual meetings to assess space, lighting, layout, and overall ambiance.

    • Listen to customer requirements and translate their ideas into practical design solutions.

  2. Product Presentation and Demonstration:

    • Present a comprehensive range of home furnishing products including sofas, beds, mattresses, wall cladding, kitchens, wardrobes, and other furniture.

    • Explain product features, materials, finishes, and care instructions to help customers make informed decisions.

    • Use visual aids, digital tools, and sample boards to showcase design options and configurations.

  3. Design and Proposal Development:

    • Develop customized interior design proposals that incorporate customer preferences with current trends and company product offerings.

    • Create detailed mood boards, sketches, and layout plans using design software or by hand when necessary.

    • Collaborate with installation teams and manufacturers to ensure design concepts align with technical specifications and project timelines.

  4. Sales and Revenue Generation:

    • Drive sales by effectively communicating the value of products and design services to potential clients.

    • Negotiate pricing, upsell complementary products, and work towards achieving individual and team sales targets.

    • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, proposals, and transactions using CRM systems.

  5. Project Coordination and Follow-Up:

    • Coordinate with vendors, craftsmen, and internal teams to streamline the delivery and installation process.

    • Follow up with customers post-installation to ensure complete satisfaction and gather feedback for ongoing service improvements.

    • Monitor industry trends and customer demands to update product offerings and design recommendations.

  6. Relationship Building and Brand Representation:

    • Act as a brand ambassador by maintaining a professional appearance, exceptional customer service standards, and product knowledge.

    • Build long-term relationships with customers by providing exceptional after-sales support and by offering renovation, upgrade, or additional design services as needed.

    • Participate in trade shows, design seminars, and company events to further promote the brand and network with industry professionals.
