About the role:

As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. This includes building frameworks, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs, as well as installing cabinets, shelves, and other woodwork.

Responsibilities:

1. Measure, cut, assemble, and install wooden structures such as doors, cabinets, shelves, partitions, and frames.
2. Repair damaged furniture, wooden flooring, and other wooden installations.
3. Install locks, hinges, handles, and other fixtures.
4. Conduct framing, roofing, and general woodwork as required.
5. Prepare surfaces by scraping, sanding, and priming before painting.
6. Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, and wooden surfaces.
7. Repair cracks, holes, and other damages on walls and ceilings before painting.
8. Ensure a smooth, even paint finish with proper techniques and tools.
9. Assess and repair minor structural damage to buildings.
10. Collaborate with electricians, plumbers, and other technicians as needed.
11. Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
12. Ensure all tools and materials are properly stored after work.

Requirements:

1. Proven Experience as a Carpenter or Painter.
2. High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program preferred.
3. Proficiency in using carpentry or painting tools and equipment.
4. Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
5. Physical strength and stamina.
6. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
