Responsible for developing initial ideas and acquiring key information about potential projects discussing requirements in detail with clients (the brief) and setting project schedules.
Duties and responsibilities:
Interior designer should plan and organize the design of commercial and domestic interiors. Projects may take place in a range of settings including:
Office spaces and Villas.
Retail locations such as showrooms.
Residential developments.
Commercial showrooms and civic buildings.
Developing initial ideas and acquiring key information about potential projects discussing requirements in detail with clients (the brief) and setting project schedules.
Understanding clients' needs, developing design concepts in consultation with the client, and establishing final briefs.
Researching and gathering information and photographs relating to the project.
Sourcing products e.g. fittings, furniture, lighting, finishes, decoration.
Preparing detailed working drawings, designs, plans, models, and schemes often using computer-aided design (CAD), 3D Max, Revit, or Rhino software.
Working in a team with other designers.
Keeping up to date with new developments in the design industry.
Skills:
4-5 years experience in any design consultancy, architecture, interiors, or related field.
Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant discipline.
Candidate will be expected to provide and review work samples that speak for your experience and impact.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Comfortable in internal and external client-facing situations.
Familiarity with CAD, Revit, and 3D Max; ability to read architectural construction documents and shop drawings.
