Interior Designer

We are seeking a dynamic Interior Designer to join the Indigo Living team, one of the UAE's most renowned international home furnishing and interior design brands. As an integral part of our team, you will bring proven expertise in layout planning, colour theory, lighting design, material selection, custom furniture creation, and fit-out installations. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional residential and commercial interior design services to our valued clients through collaboration with our Corporate and Retail Sales teams.

This role requires a talented designer who can work closely with both clients and colleagues to ensure that all projects meet and exceed Indigo Living's high international standards for quality and design excellence.

Key Responsibilities

1. Interpret and develop client briefs to deliver tailored interior design solutions.
2. Manage end-to-end design projects, from concept development to execution.
3. Prepare feasibility reports and design proposals based on client objectives.
4. Establish project timelines and ensure adherence to schedules.
5. Develop mood boards to visualize and present design concepts.
6. Source materials, products, and suppliers in line with design plans and client budgets.
7. Oversee project progress to ensure alignment with design goals and client satisfaction.
8. Prepare bills of quantities adhering to approved design concepts and budgets.
9. Create furniture plans and elevations with intelligent graphics on AutoCAD.
10. Maintain exceptional client service standards, proactively addressing client needs.
11. Stay updated on product and service knowledge to provide informed recommendations.
12. Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to deliver high-quality design outcomes.
13. Conduct research to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of design trends.
14. Participate in project meetings, training sessions, and client tours.
15. Present innovative designs, materials, and finishes, including samples and pricing, to the team.

Core Competencies

1. Bachelor/Masters Degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
2. Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in residential and retail interior design.
3. Strong understanding of design trends, innovation, and spatial planning.
4. Proven ability to translate ideas into cohesive design concepts tailored to clients' needs, considering both aesthetics and functionality.
5. Demonstrated experience presenting to clients.
6. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
7. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-orientated environment while managing expectations efficiently.
8. Strong business acumen with an understanding of cost vs. revenue implications in design.
9. Proven teamwork and coordination skills with suppliers and contractors for seamless project execution.
10. Proficient in monitoring site progress and ensuring material quality standards.
11. Expertise in furniture design and FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment).
12. Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, and MS Office. Knowledge of Adobe InDesign and SketchUp is advantageous.
13. Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
